Mangaluru: Three Tulu films to be screened at BIFF

Mangaluru, Feb 24: In what can be called a proud moment for coastal Karnataka, Tuluvas and Coastalwood, three Tulu films are all set to be screened at the 10th Bengaluru International Film Festival (BIFF) which will be held from February 22 to March 1.

Popular dramatist B K Gangadhar Kirodian’s 'Nemoda Boolya', award-winning director Abhaya Simha’s ‘Paddayi’ and Dr Thonse Vijay Kumar’s ‘Pattanaje’ will be screened at the film festival. Out of the three films, ‘Paddayi’ is yet to release, while 'Nemoda Boolya' and ‘Pattanaje’ released in 2017.

'Madipu' nominated in the Unsung Incredible India category was screened last year at the 9th BIFF.
