Ajman, Mar 13: The corporate leadership of Thumbay Group, in the presence of the institution’s founder president, Dr Thumbay Moideen and group board members, witnessed an inspirational speech on the importance of leadership, sustainability and innovation by Dr Rashid Alleem, chairman of Sharjah Electricity and Water Authority.

Widely considered as one of the most prominent leading thinkers in the fields of the economical businesses, Dr Rashid Alleem, is also a key influencer in the development of corporate leadership skills on both local and international levels. He is a passionate writer, environmentalist, ranks third among the 25 most influential CEOs in GCC and an internationally respected transformational leader.

Prior to his motivating speech, Dr Rashid was taken on a comprehensive tour of the Gulf Medical University campus by Dr Thumbay Moideen. Dr Rashid said, “It is so impressive to see so much research, innovation and cutting-edge technology that has been developed in the university. It is a great achievement by Dr Moideen, one that will create a legacy.” He was particularly impressed with the laboratories and the advanced research facilities at the Thumbay Institute of Precision Medicine and Translational Research (TIPMTR).

Touching on various current scenarios around the world, Dr Rashid emphasized on the value of quality education, critical thinking, sustainability and creating a positive change. Peppered with humour and various life anecdotes, he captivated the attention of the audience at Gulf Medical University. Toward the end of the session Dr Moideen was felicitated by Dr Moideen. Dr Rashid gave the attendees many points to ponder about and closed his speech to a standing ovation.
