Mangaluru: MLA Mohiuddin Bava to lay foundation for major projects on Mar 15

Mangaluru, Mar 15: Mangaluru north MLA B A Mohiuddin Bava will perform ground breaking ceremony for large scale projects in the constituency on March 15.

Details of the programmes:

10.30 am: Foundation for the first stage of new Surathkal market worth Rs 126 crore. Works worth Rs 61 crore will be taken up in the first stage. Rs 11 crore out of it, is the subsidy from Mangaluru City Corporation (MCC). The remaining Rs 50 crore is a special grant by Karnataka state government. This is the first time in the history of a corporation that the state government provides such huge amount for market in corporation limits.

11.00 am: Foundation laying for PWD concrete road from Surathkal circle to Ganeshpur temple. MCC will make good Rs 4.10 crore out of total cost of Rs 62.10 crore. The remaining cost of Rs 58 crore will be borne by PWD. It is special here that PWD also has borne such huge amount for the first time.

11.10 am: Ground breaking for concrete road costing Rs 113 lac for Surathkal Gudde Kopla road from Premier FIR fund.

12.00 am: Foundation for corporation zonal office at Suratkal worth Rs 2.25 crore from corporation SSC funds.

12.10 am: Ground breaking for break wall at Hosabettu sea shore at a cost of Rs 5 crore under funds from Koti port and fisheries department.
