Mangaluru, Apr 14: St Aloysius ITI celebrated the 127th birth anniversary of Dr B R Ambedkar at Samipya Hall on April 14.
Former deputy mayor Rajaneesh Kapikad was the chief guest and Jerald D’Silva, lecturer at St Aloysius Colleg, was invited as guest of honour. Vincent Mendonsa, principal, welcomed the gathering and Wilson lead the prayer and hosted the programme.
Dr B R Ambedkar’s life journey was presented through a video clips to inspire the gathering. Rajaneesh Kapikad, Jerald and principal Vincent Mendonsa lighted the lamp, offered flowers and garlanded Dr B R Ambedkar’s photo.
Rajaneesh Kapikad gave an inspiring message on Dr B R Ambedkar’s deeds to students. Jerald D’Silva spoke on the oaccsion and advised youths to follow Dr B R Ambedkar as a role model.
Later, the students performed the stage function. Vice-principal Roshan D’Souza offered the vote of thanks at the end of the programme.
