Tumakuru, Apr 21: A BJP corporator from Tumakuru has landed in controversy after intimate photos of him with a woman went viral on April 21.

Venkatesh is a BJP member from 11th ward in Melekode Corporation.

The photos showing the BJP corporator in a semi-nude pose with the woman has gone viral on social media causing huge embarrassment to the party as well as invoking criticism from the public.

The corporator is seen kissing and hugging the woman in a bedroom in the viral photos.

The people of the ward have lashed out at the corporator for failing to address their issues and being in news for all the wrong reasons.

    A similar case has earlier surfaced from M P Renukacharya contesting the electoral battle from Honnali as BJP Candidate.
    M P Renukacharya, who will be contesting the electoral battle from Honnali, was accused of sexually harassing a nurse as a minister in the Yeddyurappa government. Renukacharya had later said the nurse withdrew cases against him.
    After three years of legal battle, Excise Minister M.P. Renukacharya, two-time BJP MLA from Honnali in Davangere district, said that Jayalakshmi, a nurse, has withdrawn a criminal case registered against him.

    On April 20, 2007, the Chandra Layout police registered a criminal case against Mr. Renukacharya following a complaint by Jayalakshmi, who attempted suicide following alleged harassment by him.
    It may be recalled here that Ms. Jayalakshmi alleged that Mr. Renukacharya had pointed a revolver at her, threatened to pour acid on her and outrage her reputation by circulating obscene photographs.
    She has complained that the MLA was harassing her to marry him.There are three more cases of Ms. Jayalakshmi against Mr. Renukacharya before the Yeshwantpur and Malleshwaram police.

    A non-bailable warrant was issued against Renukacharya as he was absconding. In the middle of all this, the minister said he had at least 500 pictures of Jayalakshmi in compromising positions. Some of these pictures made their way to the media.

    The case was later saw out of court settlement mediated by Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh in the presence of mutt head paying huge money to the victim.
