Mangaluru: We will win with huge majority - BJP national spokesman Sudesh Verma

Mangaluru, Apr 25: Expressing confidence of winning the upcoming state elections, BJP national spokesperson Sudesh Verma said that Karnataka has been handed over an excellent opportunity to be a part of the big movement led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

Addressing media here on Wednesday, April 25, he said, “We are confident of gaining the upper hand with decisive majority in the upcoming elections. Karnataka now has the opportunity to vote BJP to power to be under the leadership of PM Modi. We are lucky to have Modi has our prime minister who has a broad vision of 'Sab Ka Saath Sab Ka Vikas' in which we are gaining support across the country.

“The public will exercise their franchise in the interest of the state and the country on May 12. We are confident of winning with a high majority. It will be a landslide victory like how the BJP fared in Tripura and other states. PM Modi has taken up the initiative of driving the country towards development. Schemes like ‘Krishi Sinchayi Yojana’ and ‘Fasal Bheema Yojana’ have benefitted agriculturists. ‘Mudra Yojana’, health cards to beneficiaries, job creation in private sectors, entrepreneurship development, skill development and other facilities provided by the government to has led to a happy and contended public.

“Coastal Karnataka has become famous for wrong reasons. Dozens of Hindus, RSS and BJP activists have been killed, but the district administration does not seem to be bothered. The present government is busy appeasing the minorities which is not good. The government belongs to all, not just one community. There has been cattle theft as well. Once our government comes to power, all these issues will be taken up,” he said.

State BJP spokesperson Anwar Mannipady said, "The state government has not utilized the funds meant for development of minorities. The BJP will request for votes by playing the religion card. Congress has always taken advantage of communal violence incidents. BJP has never neglected the minorities and treated everyone equally.”

Leader Monappa Bhandary and Yogesh Bhat, BJP spokesperson Sulochana Bhat and others were present.

It is not wrong for BJP to dream of winning majority seats in Karnataka and form government in Karnataka. They say that they succeeded in Tripura and other NE states. Karnataka is neither Tripura nor other NE states. People herein Karnataka are alert and they know who to vote. They gave BJP also an opportunity and Yeddyurappa became CM. We all know what happened therafter. First CM to go to jail. BJP again projecting him as their CM candidate. Most of Bellary mining syndicate members have been again given tickets. Sons and daughters of BJP leaders have been also given tickets. Then how BJP is a party of difference. How they can win Karnataka?
In erstwhile coastal DK, BJP had no presence as it was always considered as a party of higher cast. Things changed when majority of youngsters from Magaveera, Billawa and other backward communities joined and sacrificed a lot in strengthening the party. BJP became a force to reckon with in costal districts due to the sacrifices of these communities. BJP always boasts that they are party of KARYAKARTHAS. Today, how many tickets have been given by BJP to the representatives of these karyakarthas / communities. Yes BJP needs these karyakarthas to sacrifice, face Police fury and go to jail fighting for the party. Higher ups in the party just use these youngsters and the communities to achieve their political agenda. When it comes to giving the tickets to fight electoral battle or selecting/electing people for party offices BJP has hardly given importance to these people. For tickets and office bearers, BJP has got its own set of people, who can probably pay them money etc??? What an injustice? BJP has started again showing its true colour of being a party of high cast and influential people. Therefore it is time to teach BJP a lesson by those people who have been used andexploited. Work against the evil design of BJP and see them defeated in the forthcoming election.

No doubt ..BJP will come with Majority in K'ta.But in coastal K'ta BJP will manage to gain only 2 to 5 seats due to its caste base politics. Sidelining BILLAVA community will cost BJP for sure in DK and UDUPI district.

BJP volunteers should not think about cast. Do you think only Banta and Billava are there in Hinduism? All must forget about now ticket distribution and should vote for BJP, otherwise life will be difficult for them in future. Even khangress not gave too many seats to Billava.

We are seriously doubting your winning abilities in Karnataka.
Reason being, there is lot infighting in may seats in Coastal Karnataka. Except 2-3 seats, there is no clarity about candidates. And also, many people are questioning leadership abilities of your CM candidate. Forget poll surveys, realistically speaking it's difficult for you form government on you own. You are dependent on another party.

Everyone, knows you have soft corner because you have paved a way for virtual seat sharing agreement with another party to prevent splitting of votes. And latest, was the drama of your tallest leaders son was denied ticket at last moment. By seeing all the protest of your party workers, we are disgusted. Forget huge majority, just try to retain all the seats. ALL THE BEST.
