Kundapur: Chandika Durgaparameshwari temple, Kumbhasi prepares for inauguration

Kundapur, Apr 25: The inaugural programmes of the newly stone carved Degula of Garbha graha, Rajagopura, Brahmakumbhabhisheka, Anna Santarpane, religious and cultural programmes of Chandika Durgaparameshwari temple, Kumbhasi will be held from April 27 to May 5.

A Horekanike was held on April 24 as part of the celebrations.

The Horekanike was brought in procession from the front of Koteshwar Kotilingeshwar temple with the festival idols of Durgaparameshwari deity to Chandika Durgaparameshwari temple.



Religious slogans, doll dances, tiger costumes and beating of drums by women were eye catching.

Temple heads Anitha and Devaraya M Sheregara and brothers Gangolli Hosamane and the community elite were present.
