Mangaluru: Muhurat of Tulu film ‘Karnikada Kallurti’ held

Mangaluru, May 2: The muhurat of Tulu film ‘Karnikada Kallurti’ was held at Panolibail temple on April 30.

K Nirmala Devi started the camera and producer Dr Sanjeev Dandakeri clapped the first shot. Vijaykumar Kodilbial, Vijipal, Ramesh Kulal Panolibail, director Mahendra Kumar, Gangadhar Kirodian and others were present.

The film is produced under the banner ‘Phoenix Films’ is being directed by Mahendra Kumar. The story of the film which is based on Kallurti is written by Mahendra Kumar, dialogues by Gangadhar Kirodian, and cinematography will be handled by Umapathi. There will be five songs in the film. The lyrics for the songs will be written by Gangadhar Kirodian and music composed by Hithen Hassan.

Shailendra D J, Chandini Anchan, Mahendra Kumar, Shalini Marakada, and others are in the cast.

Auditions were conducted on April 15 to finalise the cast. The makers have planned a 30-day shoot schedule.
