Mangaluru: Tulu film ‘Pettkammi’ releases all over coastal Karnataka

Mangaluru, May 19: Tulu film ‘Pettkammi’ released all over coastal Karnataka on Friday, May 18.

Bala Jagannath Shetty, president of Dakshina Kannada Working Journalists' Union and film producer Prakash Pandeshwar lighted the lamp along with other dignitaries and set in motion the inaugural ceremony of the film at Jyothi theatre.

The film has released at many multiplexes and single screen theatres all over coastal Karnataka.

‘Pettkammi’ is directed by Keerthi and produced under the banner Malgudi Talkies by Ashok Shetty and Sunil Shetty. Ashok Shetty has been working in Bollywood as a line producer for different production banners from the past 11 years and has been part of many hit Hindi films.

The film has been in news for various reasons. First, the poster of the film ran into controversy. The poster was then withdrawn. Later, the makers of the film launched a new poster with the title of the film in Tulu script, hence winning them praises in the process.

The cast and crew of the film was also present at the inaugural.
