Bantwal: Hit by tipper truck, motor bike rider loses life

Bantwal, May 20: A motor bike rider lost his life and the pillion rider suffered critical injuries, after a tipper truck hit the two-wheeler they were travelling in on the night of Saturday May 19.

The accident in question happened near Brahmarakootlu tollgate on national highway 75. The deceased motor bike rider has been identified as Iqbal (38) from Parlia here. Injured pillion rider is Basheer (30).

These two were going towards Mangaluru in the motor bike when a tipper truck that was recklessly driven and was moving at high speed came from behind and hit the motor bike.

Police personnel of the town station here visited the spot and undertook investigation.
