Kundapur: Pick-up hits bike - woman dies, husband serious

Kundapur, May 22: After a pick-up van hit a motor bike that was parked by the side of the road, a woman lost her life. The accident happened on Sunday May 20 at Alur downtown.

The victim of the accident was Reshma Shet (42), wife of Kamalaksha Shet from Ambagilu, Udupi.

Kamalaksha Shet was moving towards Mullakatte from the direction of Chittur on his motor bike with wife and son. He had stopped his motor bike by the roadside in Alur downtown when a pick-up van hit the motor bike from behind. The couple was injured in the accident. Reshma breathed her last before she could be treated at the government hospital here. Kamalskaha (46) stands admitted into a private hospital at Manipal.

A case was filed in Gangolli police station against pick-up driver, Satyaprasad.
