Karkala: Cricketer Ravi Shatri offers special puja at Karvalu temple

Karkala, May 23: Former cricketer and chief coach of Indian cricket team, Ravi Shastri, visited Karvalu Vishnumurthy temple at Yarlappady in the taluk on Tuesday May 22 and offered special puja. This happens to be the temple where his ancestors who were living in the area in the past, had reposed faith in.

Speaking to media persons on the occasion, Shastri said that he has good relationship with the players of the Indian cricket team. He said it is his duty to provide proper guidance and training to the cricket players.

Shastri said he has been visiting the Nagabana at Karvalu every year since the last eleven years, adding that he likes the environment here very much. He added that this place had been inhabited by his ancestors in the past and therefore he always keeps this place in his memory.
