Mangaluru: Dr M V Shetty College of Physiotherapy observes International Yoga Day

Mangaluru, Jun 21: Dr M V Shetty College of Physiotherapy celebrated International Yoga Day on June 21 at their college auditorium.

The chief guest of the event was the principal of the college. He explained the importance of yoga, its classification and application to physiotherapy.

Dr Vaishali demonstrated yoga to the students.



Dr Stacey Lobo was the emcee.

140 physiotherapy students performed the different asanas.

Faculty members of physiotherapy Dr Deyaganesh, Dr Subash, Dr Pratibha, Dr Sanjivani, Dr P C Swain, Dr Kalaam and Bharathi monitored their performance.

The programme ended with a piece of advice to the students that they practice yoga on a daily basis to keep their mind and body fit.
