Rajasthan's Kota creates Guinness World record on International Yoga Day


Jaipur, Jun 22 (Zee News): Rajasthan's education city Kota turned into Yoga city when over one lakh people performed yoga at one place at the same time and created a new Guinness World Record on International Yoga day today. Yog Guru Baba Ramdev and Rajasthan Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje led people to perform Yoga at city's RAC ground.

The Guinness World Record team had arrived in the city from London to witness and observe this mega show.

People started gathering at the yoga spot since early morning. Eight entrance gates were made for the entry and each one was given a barcode to count the exact number of people entering the ground. On record, 1,50,000 people entered the ground through barcode officially on time to attend the event. Organisers claimed that the number who performed was higher than this. A certificate was awarded on the spot by the Guinness Team from London to Yog Guru Baba Ramdev and Balkrishna in presence of CM Vasundhara Raje.

Many Ministers of Raje's Cabinet, party MLAs and government officials also performed yoga here. Vasundhara Raje took the blessings of the Yog guru and his disciple Balkrishna. Balkrishna presented a sword to CM Vasundhara Raje.

Observers who had come from Guinness world record team from London recorded the event since 6:30 am in the morning. The Yoga session to create the world record was set for half an hour between 6:30 to 7 am.

Guinness Book will provide a web link where after entering their code the participants can generate their certificate of record. All these records are registered in Guinness book of World records and participants are awarded online certificate for students from it.

Kota is known as coaching hub for competitive exams and students who come here from the various parts of the country to take coaching performed yoga and were here in maximum numbers.

KOTA is famous for the highest no of selections in Engineering and Medical competitive exam for its coaching centers but in recent past, it is in limelight due to rising number students suicides due to depression and stress.

    The West is busily pushing Indians away..

    Indians should be ashamed of themselves desperately seeking attention from Western companies and Western Governments.
