Mangaluru Jul 4: Sukrutha Wagle, a renowned face in sandalwood who made her mark in her debut movie 'Jatta' is back with a Kannada flick ‘Megha Alias Maggi’ where she has been praised for her acting skills.

Born to Smitha and Sadananda Wagle, Sukrutha hails from Manipal. She began her career as a model and a photographer. It was Giriraj who roped in Sukrutha in Kannada flick 'Jatta' in 2013 which was indeed a dream debut and a role to remember. 'Jatta', won state award for best film, while Sukrutha bagged best actress award at ‘Chitrasanthe Awards’.

Thereafter Sukrutha started getting roles. Sukrutha went on to do back to back Kannada flicks with ‘Bahuparak’, a novel based movie 'Kiragoorina Gayyaligalu'. Sukrutha also got a chance in Kannada reality show ‘Bigg boss season 4’ as wild card contestant.

Sukrutha Wagle is known for her unique roles which keeps the audience on the edge of their seats. Sukrutha Wagle has now come up with a new shade of sadistic, tom boy villain role in 'Megha Alias Maggi' which is praised by cine-goers.

When asked whether it was hard to keep that momentum going after her dream debut, speaking to Daijiworld, Sukrutha Wagle said, “It becomes hard when you start something so good. People expect a lot when you create your own benchmark for yourself and do something beyond that. I like to do challenging roles in every film I select.”

Speaking about her negative role in ‘Megha alias Maggi’, Sukrutha said, “I am playing a tom boy antagonist in the movie. The concept is something different and it is a female antagonist oriented movie. It was indeed challenging to play a negative role. I am glad that I could pull it off so easily and do justice to the role.”

She also said, “When I did my first movie I was too young. I did not understand the do's and don’ts in the industry. Now I have learned most of the things and I can guide myself. My debut movie Jatta changed my life.”

Speaking about future projects, Sukrutha said, “Talks are going on in Telugu film industry, it is a fresh concept from another industry, so I am looking forward to it.”

Speaking about her experience in Big Boss show, Sukrutha said, "Bigg Boss is a once in a life time experience and it is a mirror of the outside world. Bigg Boss is where you do not have access to social media and have luxuries of life. I have learnt lots of lessons from it, value of time, to be close to nature. Whoever gets an opportunity to enter the Bigg Boss house knows what life is and what nature is all about.”
