Hubballi: Police arrest three suspected Rohingya muslims, one escapes

Hubballi, Aug 19: On Saturday, August 18, police of the city, arrested three suspected Rohingya muslims, who were seeking alms from the public, showing them the Rohingya refugee cards.

Pro-hindu outfits, who noticed four people, seeking alms holding Rohingya refugee card in the city areas of Janata Bazar, bus station and Kopikar road informed the same to the police department. Acting upon the information received by the public, police arrested three including Mohammed Zubair and Nasiruddin. However, one among them escaped from the police during the process of arresting.

Police have confiscated the Rohingya refugee cards from the arrested and have sent the same by email to Delhi to verify whether these cards are genuine or fake.
