Mangaluru, Jun 7: Even as Kudligi deputy superintendent of police (DySP), Anupama Shenoy, who has tendered her resignation to the job and has since been posting fiery statuses in her Facebook page from an unknown location, there is no clarify what will happen to her resignation or what are her future plans.
Ballari district-in-charge minister, P T Parameshwar Naik, whose name was linked to pressure brought for her transfer in the past, distanced himself from the current episode. "I do not know whether Anupama Shenoy is a good or bad officer. I have nothing to do with her resignation and as such, I do not feel the need to comment about this development," he stated. He said that he came to know about her resignation after the district superintendent of police told him over phone and that he does not know about facebook, WhatsApp etc.
In the meanwhile, state health and family planning minister, U T Khader, said that he knows Anupama, who hails from Udupi district, personally. Khader, who was at Gangavathi, said that he will visit her home and convince her to withdraw her resignation,.
Khader opined that efficient officers should not bend under pressure, adding that neither the government, nor district in-charge minister, Parameshwar Naik, had brought pressure on Anupama. He asked BJP and JDS not to politicize this issue.
