Mangaluru, Dec 31: Entry to all important beaches of the city including Tannirbhavi, Surathkal and Panambur is prohibited after 7 pm on December 31 in the wake of increasing cases of Omicron virus.

Deputy commissioner (DC) Dr Rajendra K V took out an order to this effect. Any kind of New Year’s Eve celebration on the beach is not permitted.

In addition to beaches, New Year’s Eve should not be celebrated anywhere else in public places, according to the order issued by the DC.

In addition night curfew is in place. It may be recalled, night curfew began from 10 pm on December 28 as per government orders in twin districts in order to contain the Omicron virus spread. The curfew will be in place from 10 pm to 5 am till January 7.

These restrictions are more of a show off than practical or relevant.

Yes Ajay... i agree. If everyone litters the beach, thinking that's govt duty...who will be at loss ? We are at loss obviously. Our beaches will stink .... fish will get affected.....atmosphere/environment/air will be affected.... Govt. doesnt get affected...We should be responsible citizens. Why are we called as educated? Its not govt. land. Its our land...Today, we litter....looking at us, those who visit us from outside districts/states they will litter......!isn't it ??!!????.

Omicron, Omicron common people suffer. Globalist elite and their agents rake money in vaccine / booster and online businesses. With beach / night curfew, How many cases reduced till now ? With boosters everything will be normal, right ? looks like That's what the message is. That too delta booster and delta wave already over which was due to vaccination and after others getting natural herd immunity for it. These Boosters are for one more deadly strain ? and for it then give again Omicron boosters (when it is ready) ? Which is for Elite depopulating and money making vaccine / booster global business continuity ? Looks like elite and communist chinese world control agenda in full swing and our politicians are giving them free hand for some bigPharma commission? with new new greek names for this seasonal flu except for initial china lab made virus.
