Karnataka's Covid tally rises yet again, over 800 fresh cases reported

Bengaluru, Dec 31: Karnataka on Friday, December 31 registered 832 new coronavirus cases.

As per the bulletin released by the state health department, the active cases in the state stand at 8,712. Bengaluru Urban's single-day tally stood at 656.

As many as 8 deaths due to coronavirus were reported in the state on Friday, with Bengaluru Urban recording 5 deaths, the death toll in the state has risen to 38,335.

The state recorded 335 discharges from hospitals on Friday, taking the total discharges to 29,60,261.

So far, Karnataka has seen 30,07,337 positive cases since the start of the pandemic in March 2020.

The positivity rate for the day stands at 0.70% while the case fatality rate for the day is 0.96%.

    To this years' (2021) seasonal common cold, given new greek name for bigpharma to push and give their deadly boosters after the vaccination, to generate another deadly strain, for it Tester's frequent fear lathi charge required ?

    Don't do lockdown. Put police in public place ,public transportation, school colleges and villages to monitor whether people are following covid rules.Impose fine for those who violated covid protocols.Give lathi charge for people who are forming crowds .Also police should announce using mic that omicron is dangerous virus in public places so that people will fear and follow covid rules
