Mangaluru: Life threat on financial matter of mosque, accused taken into custody

Mangaluru, Jan 2: Police took into custody an accused who had threatened a person with dire consequences in the issue of financial matters of a mosque.

H B Mohammed, native of Hejamady, now residing at Balmatta in the city, was the president of Kannangaru Mosque for around 10 years. Recently, he had an altercation with H Sufi and his brother Shamsuddin, residents of Hejamady over financial matters relating to the mosque. Shamsuddin had called Mohammed and also sent WhatsApp messages threatening him with an attempt on his life. A case in this connection was registered in Mangaluru East police station.

As accused Shamsuddin arrived at Mangaluru International Airport on December 31, he was handed over to the police by the immigration officials as they had LOC (Look Out Circular) in his name. Police said that they have taken suitable legal action against the accused.

    Why invite troubles ?There are enough now and day by day increasing...Instead of giving life threat to own famliy members,go to a person who can solve easily by legal ways if you find the person is not doing his duty properly.Sometimes frustrated to hear this.Hope the matter will be cleared soon.
