Sr M Paupera BS nee Fellie Vaz (86) of Bethany Congregation, passed away on September 20, 2018 in Sacred Heart Convent, Ludhiana.

She hails from Sirsi, North Karnataka. She is the daughter of the late Andrew B Vaz and the late Catherina Coutino.

Funeral rites will be held on Friday, September 21 at 3:00 pm in Sacred Heart Convent, Ludhiana.

My first community as a religious in Karnal in 1969-73 and Sr. Paupera was a member like me. Sr. Esuria our superior and Marie Therese, we were all friends. Her laughter I enjoyed as it used be with her whole being and childlike. Few months ago I was able to speak to her through my sister's phone. She used to teach L.K.G. children at Karnal and she had such love for little ones, she could change their tears into smile when they came first day to school and make them at home. Both of us were in opposite classrooms.. L.K.G. and I was in Upper K.G. students. Many years since I had not seen her. I used to enquire from my sister about her health. May Sr. Poppy experience eternal bliss with the Lord. She had a beautiful passing away my sister told me. As you live so you slip into the embrace of God. Condolences all the Bethany sisters and her relatives.
