Gerry D' Mello, Bendur is a name popularly known in the field of Konkani music, poetry, dramatics, compering and journalism. He has won many prizes in singing on various levels. Apart from composing songs, he has also sung efficiently in Wilfy Nites, Jerome Nite, Henry Nites, Claud Nites and Melwyn Peres Nite. He is one of the founder members of MCCP and Borpi Mithr, Muscat. He has served as Vice-president in the Parish Pastoral Council of Sts.Peter and Paul Church, Ruwi, Muscat. Currently he is a Canadian resident and actively involved in various Konkani activities in Canada. His first book Do..Re..Me..Fa.. Volke Gronth - Poilo Bhaag published by Raknno Prakashan has won Dr.T.M.A. Pai Konkani Book Appreciation Award in 2011.
