Mary D'Silva (86), daughter of the late Santhan Pereira and Christine, wife of the late Gregory D'Silva, mother of Granville / Sharda, Astrid / Christopher & Ingrid / Stephen, grandmother of Jonathan / Cheryl, Nadine / Jeremy, Rory, Gareth Laverne, Aaron, Johann & Milan, great grandmother of Aiden & Samuel, passed away on August 24, 2017.

Funeral in St Vincent Ferrer Church, Valencia, Mangalore on Saturday, August 26. Viewing from 9.30 am. Mass at 10.00 am followed by burial.

Sorry to hear that Mary D'Silva is no more. She was our neighbor from our childhood days at Bishop Victor Road. Her brother Simon was my classmate at Kankanady school. Her father, dear Santhanam was a well known person in those days. Santhanam had a lorry of his own, and we loved to take a drive in his lorry to various places. Those were the days more than 70 years ago still remembered and gratefully appreciated. Mary was one of the inmates at "Deva Kripa" which is a nice "Assisted Living" center of Bethany nuns at Cascia where my sister, Rose, also lived for few years. I understand that Mary was anxious to see me and I was also anxious to meet with her this timje, but before that God remembered her. May she rest in peace.
