Bantwal, Apr 26: Although police department has been trying hard to lay its hands on the perpetrators of the murder of Karopadi gram panchayat vice president, A Abdul Jameel Karopadi recently, it has failed to make any headway. At the same time, fresh, interesting, and shocking information is being floated on each passing day since the said murder happened.

Initially there was a notion that people who came from Kerala had committed this murder. However, some sources claim that a few locals had joined hands with the criminals in the said crime.

Stories making the round say that one person from Kerala and two notorious criminals from Karnataka were involved with this murder. There are claims that this was a contract killing financed by locals. Unconfirmed reports said that a local man, who happens to be a political adversary of Jaleel, had conveyed to the murderers the information that Jaleel was alone at his office, just before the murder. However, all this information and claims are not backed by any proof or evidences.

On Monday, there was an effort to link this murder with an underworld fugitive. But on Tuesday, this claim was dismissed as a deliberate attempt to mislead investigators.
