Mumbai, Jun 14 (TOI): Amboli police on Tuesday registered a case of murder after a model and struggling actress, Kritika Chaudhary (27), was found murdered in her rental flat at Bhairavnath SRA Society in Andheri (west). Preliminary medical report showed injuries on her head. Police suspected it is a case of murder as the main door was locked from outside.
"The crime may have occurred three days ago and the suspect had kept the AC switched on to delay rotting of the body. The unknown accused had hit her on her head with a steel weapon," said the police. The body was found in a decomposed state on Monday. Police has sought CCTV footages to track down any suspicious person leaving the building. On Tuesday, Kritika's parents took the body to Haridwar for final rites.
