Cricketer Jasprit Bumrah loses his cool on Jaipur traffic police over no-ball banner

Jaipur, Jun 24 (Deccan Chronicle): The no-ball against Pakistan, in the ICC Champions Trophy 2017 final, continues to haunt Jasprit Bumrah. While he was criticised during and after the final, the Indian cricketer clearly did not expect Jaipur traffic police targeting him.

The Indian cricketer, who was not picked for the West Indies series, took to his social media account to express his disappoint after the Jaipur traffic police used Bumrah’s no-ball photo with a caption: "Don't cross the line. You know it can be costly" while promoting road safety.

Bumrah clearly was not impressed and wrote: “@traffic_jpr well done Jaipur traffic police this shows how much respect you get after giving your best for the country.”

“@traffic_jpr But don't worry I won't make fun of the mistakes which you guys make at your work .because I believe humans can make mistakes,” added Bumrah.

Cricketer-turned-commentator Aakash Chopra lauded Bumrah for his "dignified" response. "Very dignified, Jasprit. Good on you. Sensitivity isn't our forte...this ad is just another example of that sick mindset. Keep working hard."

Jaipur traffic police, meanwhile, apologised the Mumbai Indians pacer in a series of tweets and clarified that the banner was just for spreading awareness.

"Dear @jaspritbumrah93, our intent was not to hurt your sentiments or the sentiments of millions of cricket fans...we only intended to create more awareness about traffic rules...you are a youth icon & an inspiration for all of us," Jaipur police tweeted.

Match was Fixed 100% because bookies were in favor of India, that means match is on the other hand, and they want recover money which they lost on for the whole tournament.

Ok, Mr. James Bond. If you say it was fixed then it was fixed. BTW could you also tell me what are matches in near future are going to be fixed?
India is touring West Indies, SA is touring England, English domestic season, and then there is Women's world cup currently underway in England. Could your intelligent little brain tell me which of these matches going to be fixed? I need to put up a deposit to buy a house in the next couple of months. Is there a better way to double / triple / quadruple my money other than betting where I am sure to win?

The idea behind this awareness is right about road safety, if any motorist or rider crosses the line then he/she are finished this is the same thing what happened in the ICC Champions Trophy 2017 final. Because Jasprit Bumrah crossed the crease and a very important batsman was not out and hence India lost the match very badly. Jasprit Bumrah cheers buddy keep smiling and good luck for your next matches you play for India.

The final was a revenge against Kumble. Today's cricketers are party animals. There is a powerful lobby to protect them.

In such important and final matches whether fast bowlers/spinners should not bowl no balls. Our coaches should train our bowlers well. Why this lapse?

What Jaipur police has done is NON SENSE. What was the surety of winning the match Had he bowled that bowl correctly. Was he the only bowler in the squad ? Why did other bowlers not pick up wickets ? What was the role of our STRONG batting line up ? This poor guy is getting blamed just for ONE no ball. Police should be ashamed of their AD and should beg apology from him. He is a consistent performer and one should not bring his morale down by judging his entire dedication with a single bowl.
People are blaming Ravindra Jadeja as well. It's game and it happens. The real culprits are the decision makers who make bowlers to bowl and send the batsman for batting.

If I'm not mistaken ... Bumrah's one mistake has cost us twice .. one was recently concluded Champions trophy, and the other was last year's WT20 against West Indies in Semi final. Lendl Simmons was the batsman to be dismissed in No ball and he was ultimately the match winner

Bumrah should be happy that his mistake being turned into a message for people's good. Even if he is not happy, there is nothing to be sad about the awareness ad. Common Bumrah, learn to take things positively.

Bowler has a option to bowl even one meter behind from the line. Then what is the necessary to go close to batsman. Make it habit from beginning. This one no ball and Ashwin's selection made us head down.

This player really did good performance in recent ICC Champion's trophy, except final one.
    That is his bad luck.
His manners in filed is much appreciable.
He is good player comparing to arrogant, short tempered Kohli.

You are cent percent correct sir, a player playing a international cricket, that too earning immense monetary benefit, can not let down millions of Indian cricket fans, hundreds of them might have thrown their TV Sets in disgust. Jaipur Traffic Cops definitely used their brain to highlight a habitual mistake of crossing the line has cost India greatly, where is our pride Bumrah?? I do not know why Amul has not chose to incorporate his habitual mistake in to a wonderful advertisement.
