Mangaluru Jul 23: The 22nd annual assembly of Karnataka Regional Conference of Religious was held under the theme 'Colloboration: A Vision recieved, A Mission Shared', at Ranipura, recently.

Bishop of Mangaluru diocese, Dr Aloysious Paul D'Souza, addressing the gathering said, "Service from the christain community is very precious. The service of christain people is incomplete without service in education and care centers."

During his presidential address, chancellor of Yenapoya University, Abdulla Kunhi said, "The Christain community and their bishops are always at the forefront of nourishing the deprived and wiping tears of the people who are troubled by the society."

The programme was inaugurated by the president of CRI units. UFS mother general Susheela Sequeira, secretary of KRCR Sandhya, Mangaluru CRI president Fr Melvyn D Souza, and director of Ranipura Rishivana Alfred Menezes graced the occasion.

President of KRCR Fr Staney welcomed the gathering. Narsisa Sequeria proposed the vote of thanks.
