Bantwal: Parents protest against cancellation of aid to school

Bantwal, Aug 11: Parents of children in Sri Rama Vidya Kendra and Poonacha Sridevi School, here, held a protest on Thursday, August 10, against the state government which had stopped aid to the school.
 
Students of these schools, 2128 in all were provided Bisiyoota, uniform and free books. The aid to the schools which was adopted by the Kollur temple as permitted by  the government, had continued since 2007, even when Siddaramaiah-led government came to power.
 
As many as 52 such schools in the state were provided such aid and only these two schools were deprived of the privilege.  
 
Parents Shobha, Nalini, Hakeem, students Akhila, Bhavya, Rajeevi, advocate Asha Prasad Rai and others were present in the protests.
