Hyderabad, Oct 19: The Hyderabad cops have nabbed a fake godman who exhorted money from a housewife promising her that he will help her conceive a male child through black magic.

The accused was identified as Mannan Baba, a migrant from Haryana who operated out of Tolichowki and Humayunnagar in Hyderabad. The woman who was harassed by her husband for giving birth to three girls, approached the baba who assured her that she can conceive a male child through his powers.

He also told her that an evil spirit resided in her. She was asked to pay Rs 1 lakh to get rid of the spirit and another Rs 1 lakh to ensure that she conceived a male child.

She paid the Baba the money in desperation without informing her family.

When she failed to conceive after three months, she visited the Baba who demanded even more money and asked her to have sex with him. She refused to give in to his demands and then he started threatening that he will kill her daughters using his powers.

The victim then approached the DCP of the west zone and shared her plight with him. The cops succeeded in nabbing the godman and have sent him to judicial remand.

The baba has confessed to exhorting money from several people using superstition, say police.

Now it's high time to arrest fake politicians, who got elected on fake promises made to people, now getting paid from the taxes paid by people, though they never honored the promises!
People should reject such deceiving politicians who are more crooks than these type of Godmen!

On the brighter side India has achieved in the direction of IT, Medical field, Space science & technology and remains as future super power among world community. But some people still believe in crude and false things. Is that because of lack of education or lack of faith in the creator?
