Mangaluru: Miscreants pelt stones at buses in Farangipet - passengers escape

Daijiworld Media Network - Mangaluru (SP)

Mangaluru, Dec 12: During early morning hours on Tuesday December 12, miscreants indulged in pelting of stones at buses of Karnataka State Road Transport Corporation (KSRTC) including luxry 'Rajahamsa' buses operated by it, at Farangipet. The passengers however had a providential escape as none of them suffered any serious injuries.

The 'harmony walk' organized from here to Mani under the guidance of Dakshina Kannada district in-charge miniser, B Ramanath Rai to protest against communal forces, is scheduled to be taken out later today. This jatha was proposed to be a peaceful affair, but the miscreants have given it a touch of violence. The harmony walk is set to pass through Kalladka before reaching Mani.

Leaders of CPM and celebrated actor, Prakash Raj, will be accompanying the jatha. Over a thousand police personnel have been deployed to take care of law and order situation during this programme. The police personnel who have been given this responsibility have been drawn from various police stations and supported by a contingent of 300 Karnataka State Reserve Police.

Stone pelting is common in some places. If you leave out Dharavi slums, the only other place where stones are pelted on moving trains for no reason is Thalangara in Kasaragod District. Ullal and Farangipete are two areas where they pelt stones on moving buses. The common factor is that both the places are known for communal tensions. Any other common factor?? guess.

    Sri,

Farangipet is the base for the topic we discussed yesterday, about the girl disappeared on her Mehendi night. Obviously police may have put quite many trips to Innoli, hence the situation could be already tense.

Well, don't question how Congress got the permission, ask your own leaders why they make matters worse to people, why they don't let people live their life, why BJP is dictating a lifestyle to them.
