Mangaluru: International Women’s Day celebrated by Carmel College

Mangaluru, Mar 10: International Women’s Day was celebrated by Women’s Cell of Carmel College, Modankap on March 8 in the college auditorium.

Vijetha Pinky D’Sa an advocate, from Moodbidri was the chief guest for the programme. She stressed the importance of education of women and their empowerment. Principal Prof Sr M Supriya, in her presidential address, expressed the need for gender equity in the society.

Three students of the college presented the characters of women achievers.

The chief guest honored the winners of the competition ‘Women Character Display’.



Women’s cell co-ordinator Vinitha, secretaries Roshal of III BCom and Nishmitha of II BCom were on the dais. Shahina of I BCom compered the programme.
