Mumbai: Mysore Association invites applications for poetry competition

Mumbai, Apr 16: Mysore Association here has invited entries for global Kannada poetry competition 2018. Kannadigas anywhere in the world can create a poem on any subject and submit it at the competition. There is no entry fee.

First prize is Rs 10,000, second prize Rs 5,000 and third prize Rs 3,000. There are two consolation prizes of Rs 1,000 each.

The poems should be original. Translation or imitation is not allowed. Poems must be within 30 lines handwritten or printed clearly on one side of the paper. The name, address, mobile number and email should be sent in a separate sheet of paper. They should not be published anywhere else till the results are announced. A participant can send only one poem. The poems handed in will not be returned. The decision of the judges is final. The last date for sending the poems is April 30. They may also be sent to kavana.nesaru@gmail.com. The results will be announced after June 15 in Mysore Association's monthly magazine 'Nesaru', www.Mysoreassociation.in and facebook Mysore association Mumbai page.
