Mumbai: Bunts Sangha celebrates annual Bunts’ day

Mumbai, Apr 17: Bunts Sangha celebrated annual Bunts day 2018 and a friendly get-together at Kurla here on April 14.

Bunts Sangha president Padmanabha Payyade chaired while well known entrepreneur former president of Bunts Sangha Bolyaguthu Vivek Shetty was the chief guest of the programme. Union bank CEO Rajkiran Rai and Bollywood actress Raveena Tandon were guests of honour.

Ramanath S Payyade memorial award was presented to Global Bunts Federation president Aikala Harish Shetty and Shefali Hegde Rai memorial award was presented to Prof Shubhalaxmi Sudarshan Hegde on the occasion.



The president felicitated CA Sadashiva Shetty and Jayashree Sadashiv, Kilpady Bhandasale Shekar Shetty and Sujana Shekar, Dr Baburaj Hegde and Shubha Baburaj, advocate Dayanand K Shetty and Kala Dayanand, Kiran Shetty and Nita Kiran, Ashok Pakkala and Harinakshi Pakkala, Mamatha Ashwini Shetty and Sanjiva M Shetty Kandivli, sportsman and badminton talent Chirag Shetty.

Women's wing president Ranjani Sudhaker Hegde and youth wing president Sharath Vijay Shetty were on the dais. Shibarooru Suresh L Shetty said prayer. Honorary chief secretary CA Sanjiva Shetty read the annual report. Cultural and literary committee president Karnur Mohan Rai and Ashok Pakkala compered the programme. Honorary treasurer Pravin B Shetty thanked.

Bantara Sangha office bearers, sub division and heads of different local division committees and members presented dances and cultural entertainment. Beere Devu Poonje yakshagana play was performed by Mahavishnu Kripa Bunta Yakshagana Kala Vedike and Bunts Sangha committee members.
