Mumbai: Shani Mahatma Samiti celebrates Shaneshwara birth anniversary

Mumbai, May 18: Shani Mahatma Seva Samiti convened by Tulu Kannadigas at Khar east celebrated the birth anniversary of Shaneshwara with the cooperation of devotees here on Tuesday May 15.

Several religious rituals were held to mark the occasion. Chitrakar Shetty and Laxmi Shetty couple were in charge of the puja.

Raju Bhootkar, samiti honorary president Sridhar J Poojary, president Shanker K Suvarna, executive president R D Kotian, vice president Devendra V Bangera, Sharath Moodbidri, vice president Jayaram Shetty, priest and honorary treasurer Nagesh Suvarna, puja committee secretary Janardhan Salian, assistant secretary Ramesh Poojary, Narasimha Salian, co priest Krishna Kulal, puja committee secretary Ravindra Kotian, Vishwanath Kunder, Bharath Bank director advocate Somanath B Ameen, manager Somanath Poojary, Sangitha S Poojary, youth wing executive president Vijay Salian, joint treasurer Vinod Hejmady, committee member Ramesh Poojary, women's wing executive president Kesari B Ameen, Kandivli Kannada Sangha former honorary president Shamraj Shetty, president Polya Jayapal Shetty and others were present.



Other office bearers of the committee, women's wing members, youth wing and other sub committee members and devotees took part in large numbers. Billavara Association Mumbai, Guru Narayan Yakshagana Mandali's Sachin Poojary was felicitated by committee trustee member Narayan G Kotian with a flower bouquet and prasada. Samiti honorary chief secretary Yogesh K Hejmady welcomed everyone, compered the programme and thanked them all.
