Kasargod: Silver jubilee of ICYM celebrated at St John De Britto Church, Narampady

Kasargod, May 22: Several programmes were held at St John De Britto Church, Narampady, to celebrate the silver jubilee of Indian Catholic Youth Movement (ICYM). Fr Ronald D’Souza, ICYM director of Mangaluru diocese celebrated the Holy Mass in the morning on May 20.

Fr John B Moras, parish priest of Narampady St John De Britto church chaired the hall programme held later. Fr Victor D’Souza, director of ICYM Kasargod diocese was present as chief guest. Joyal Concessao, ICYM secretary Mangaluru diocese, Lawrence D’Souza, Dakshina Kannada youth Congress secretary, Joseph Monteiro, vice-president of parish pastoral council, Sr Helen D’Souza, Avila convent superior, Leon D’Souza, ICYM diocese warden, Ivan Kishore, convener of silver jubilee celebrations, George D’Souza and others were present.



ICYM Kasargod director Fr Victor D’Souza and South Kanara youth Congress secretary Lawrence D’Souza were felicitated.

Prizes were distributed to winners in competitions. ICYM unit president John Mervin D’ Souza welcomed the gathering. Secretary Jyothi Crasta read the report. Rovin D’Souza rendered the vote of thanks. Anna Sweedal D’Souza and Jason D’Souza compered the programme.

Kasargod diocese vicar var Fr Valerian Frank chaired the programme held in the evening. Sacred Heart Church, Ajekar’s priest Fr Sunil D D’Silva was present.

Kasargod diocese ICYM president Jeevan D’Souza and former president Raju Ukkinadka were felicitated. Br Sooraj Lobo, Sr Helen D’ Souza, Joseph Monteiro, Metilda D’Almeida, Anil George D’Souza, John Mervin D’Souza, Jyothi Crasta and others were present.

Melwin D’Souza welcomed the gathering. Jenifer Crasta and Ivan Kishore D’Souza compered the programme.
