Udupi: Hebri SI Mahabala Shetty resigns, blames senior officials

Udupi, Jul 6: Mahabala Shetty, sub-inspector (SI) of Hebri police station, has sent his resignation letter to his superiors on Friday July 6.

Mahabala Shetty expressed displeasure against the senior officials of the department and resigned.

Superintendent of police Laxman Nimbargi, when contacted, said that he has not yet received the resignation and will look into the issue. 

The locals say that Shetty is an efficient officer and had taken several tough actions despite pressure from the senior officials and powerful persons.
