Sr Marie Rose (91), Nazareth Convent, Balmatta, Mangalore, passed away on May 7, 2021.
Funeral service on Friday, May 7 at Milagres Church, with adherence to the covid directives.

Sr Marie Rose... she was an extraordinary Nun with a soul of a true Saint. I met her for the first time when my sister (Sr Geetha) joined their congregation of Franciscan Servants of Mary. Their convent was in Balmatta. That was in 1966. Her younger sister Sr Aloysia was also a nun in the same convent .Though they came from an illustrious family, her father was an Eminent Leprologist of Fr Mullers, late Dr. Louis Coelho, they were so humble, always caring for the poor, empowering women in Mangalore, Karwar and many other rural places, by conducting workshops and classes, counselling etc. May your noble soul rest in peace dear Sr Marie Rose. Sr Marie Rose an elderly sister know for her good works.She was a social worker who helped so many youth for their studies.She was intelligent and involved herself with the situations.She served as the superior and during her ailments she was so cheerful.She was very affectionate to the poor especially those in service to her.
