Final rites on Friday, June 11, at 8.30 am, at St Francis Xavier's Church cemetery, Bejai.

Uncle John was such a merry man to be around.... Whenever he would share his thoughts and views with us kids, he'd add some of his own comical essence to it. He never spoke much, but let his actions prove his love and affection for his family. He was that pillar of strength who would never turn down a favor. He'd go out of his way to make sure all around him led a comfortable life. I couldn't be more grateful for sharing a part of my life with such a humble and wonderful being.

I appreciate everyone here who joined us in celebrating the life of my father.He was a man of few words.He let his actions do the talking.One such example would be waking up early on a weekend,just to drop me or my other siblings for a class after a stressful work week or waiting for a long time outside tuition classes with no complaints.He has left us with so many beautiful memories.But the greatest gift we have been blessed with is having him as our Father.He was a kind,generous and humble man who always helped people without expecting anything in return.He fought with all he had these 3.5 years without a single complaint and proved he was a fighter by giving it his all till the very end.He was and always will be an inspiration.He taught us how to be better children by being one for his parents, to be an incredible husband like he was to Mama,to be better siblings by being one for his brothers and sisters and maybe one day we will be a great parent like he was.Dada, we know you're in a much better place with no more suffering.However,we can't help but feel this deep sense of loss.You have left behind a void that can never be filled.We are grateful and certain that you are now living happily alongside our wonderful Abba and Mai,looking down on us and showering us with your utmost blessings.I want to take this opportunity to thank everyone on behalf of dada who played an integral part in his life in any capacity.I want to thank all the doctors, nurses and caretakers at MIO, Father Mullers and A.J Hospital for their service towards my father.I want to especially thank Dr. Amith Leon D’Souza for being the pillar of strength and support during this long battle.I also want to thank Dr. Glenn Fernandes,Dr. Krishna Prasad,Dr. Rohan Chandra Gatti and Dr. Dinesh Kadam for all the continued guidance patience and support extended to our family for the past 3.5 years.With the ripples of dadas acts of love and service still being felt we will continue to keep his memory alive.
