Lily Joseph D'Souza (86), wife of the late Joseph D'Souza, mother of Harry / Marianne, the late Philomena / the late Felix, Edmund / Tessa, Sunny / Mary and Olive, grandmother of Darryl / Crystal, Delna / Sheldon, Samuel / Diana, Joseph, Sweedal and Adriana, passed away on Tuesday, October 12, 2021.

Funeral service to be held on Wednesday, October 13 at 4:00 pm in Holy Trinity Church, Powai, Mumbai, followed by burial at the adjoining cemetery.

Request everyone to wear a mask and follow social distancing in the Church.

Mom left us all too sudden on 12th October. She did not suffer any illness that I could have anticipated her going. I got a big jolt of my life when I noticed she was all cold & stiff on my return from court around 3p.m. She was found laying on her back on the bed. Much as I & my siblings are disturbed at this sudden loss, we also believe God took Mom to His Heavenly Kingdom quietly & hurriedly. We bend to God's call. We're thankful to have had such a strong willed Mother who stood by us for 20 years after Dad's passing. Mom was very jovial, mentally very strong, had loads of friends of much younger age with whom she could blend so easily and talk with them for long hours. Mom was whatsapp savvy. She loved to watch videos and was calling everyone from her phone. Mom adapted to smart phone at the age of 80. Yes, that was my hi-tech mom who showed great desire to learn & adjust. We will miss her so dearly. She held the reigns in her hand and kept us bonded. Love you Mom. May eternal rest grant unto your departed soul. May perpetual light shine upon my Mom. May her soul rest in peace. Amen👃🌹
