Aunty Evelyn was a great friend of my grandma Late Margaret Farias and also her partner in LSSL (ladies Social Service League) and other initiaves helping the poor and needy. I remember her fondly from my childhood days, my frequent visits to her house on the way to school/college to drop/pick items, letters, documents etc. She was always busy in the compound and I would need to find her as grandma's instructions were to hand over to aunty personally. Her beautiful handwriting inspired me and her constant worrying to run home to look after David amused me. She was always busy, yet making time for activities of the LSSL. Aunty Evelyn was Inspiring, Determined, Resilient and hard working . A generation of women who created a mark on us younger ones. Rest in Peace aunty and may you rejoice in the company of all your family and friends who have passed. My mother Madonna joins me in offering our most sincere condolences to the family. We share your grief. Both Nana and aunty Evelyn would have completed 100 years soon. We thank God for their long and wonderful lives which have touched and changed so many. God Bless.

Dear A. Dorothy, David, Astrid, Peter and all the members of the family, It was always a pleasure to visit A. Evelyn in Mangalore because she was affectionate, welcoming and knowledgeable about so many things. She was one of my Dad's favorite cousins and they shared many memories that spanned almost a century. Her sister Dorothy and she were among the first batch of graduates of St Agnes College & were Gold medalists in English. A. Evelyn was a trail blazer for us to follow and emulate.
