Sr Marie Ange (77), nee Irene Vas, daughter of the late Michael Faustine Vas and the late Angeline Sequeira, sister of Cyprian, belonging to St Anthony’s Parish Mudigere, Chikmagalur Diocese, passed away on November 14, 2023.

Funeral rites will be held at Bethany Mother House Chapel on Wednesday, November 15 at 10.00 am.

sr marie was my moms classmate both are from mudigere ,she had visited us long way back to my place in shimoga and at time when greeting cards use to get exhchanged she use to drop us Christmas greeting cards ,she was very much loveable person , we feel very sorry for ,may the lord grant her eternal peace , may her soul rest in peace ,these are the unperishable memories with her .

Very sorry to hear the passing away of Sr. Mare Ange. Since she was my sister Clerilla"s batch I had met her many times. Gentle and soft spoken and ever smiling, angelic sister, apt to her name. Few years ago when I went to Mangalore with our Guruji Swami Louis to visit my sister Clerilla in the hospital, I went to Bethany as well and met the spirituality group sisters. We met Sr.Marie Ange on a wheel chair. She was only bound to a wheel chair but free from within as I saw her smiling, joyfully speaking. Felt her closeness to God and accepting the situation she was in. Later on my sister gave me her book on the Eucharist in Konkani. She had great devotion to the Eucharist. Even from the wheel chair she could reach out to many with her enchanting smile and her inspiring writings. Her vocation to Bethany also is an inspirational one. The Lord has ended her sufferings and called her to rest in his heavenly abode. May she send blessings on those family members of hers and the Bethany sisters to live a meaningful and relevant life.

Very graceful nun, in simple words. She suffered since many years but always wearing a smile on her face. A prolific writer on religious topics. I was fortunate to release one of her kannada book, published by Harikrishna Punarooru, former president of Karnataka Kannada Sahitya Parishad. She was a headmistress at Little Flowers Girls High school Kinnigoli for many years. I visited her just a few days ago and I found her bedridden and in great pain. I am happy her creator took her away back to Him.

Its very sad to know Sr Marie Ange is no more. When i was working in Rosa Mystica she was the Headmistress of High School. Very humble, simple and down to the earth. She was a writer and wrote many articles specially about Mother Mary. She was a devotee of our Mother Mary. Her articles were very simple. Every feast day she was calling her dear once including me and wishing them. So she was keeping in touch with many. Today she left us and started her journey to heaven. Good bye Sr Marie Ange untill we meet again at heaven.May her soul rest in peace.
