Sr Mary Vincenza AC (93),  daughter of the late Joachim Vincent Rego and the late Lucy Grace DSouza; sister of the late Leonard Rego; Lindsay Rego; the late Jeoffie Andrade; Juliet Vaz, the late Fr Ladislaus Rego S.J; Jane D'Souza, Llewellyn Rego, aunt of Fr Juventius Andrade CSsR; Fr Anil Rego, Mumbai; Fr Dionysius Vaz SJ, Provincial Superior of Karnataka Jesuits, passed away on  Sunday January 14, 2024 at Annunciation Convent, Ladyhill, Mangalore.

She belongs to the Congregation of the Apostolic Carmel, Karnataka Province and was a great and inspiring educationist. She has rendered her dedicated services at Mount Carmel Convent, Ahmedabad; Holy Rosary Convent, Nuvem; St. Ann’s Convent, Mangaluru (Principal of St Ann’s College of Education, Mangaluru); Provincial House as Provincial Councillor for Education; St. John's College, Bengaluru; Mary Immaculate Convent, Bengaluru; St. Cecily’s Convent, Udupi; Stella Maris Convent, Kotekar and lastly at Annunciation Convent, Ladyhill.

Mortal remains will be laid out in Annunciation Convent Chapel, Ladyhill, Mangalore on Monday, January 15 from 1.00 pm onwards for public viewing.   Funeral Mass will be at 3.30 PM followed by burial service at Annunciation Convent cemetery.
