Louisa Maria Benny (nee Pais) (85), wife of the late Dr I J Benny, mother of the late Kevin, Jean/Godric Lobo, Gwendoline/Kai Beermann, Karen/Glenn Boaz and Kiran/Reshma Benny, grandmother of Adith/Caroline, Sonya, Alexander, Abraham, Sarah, Zacharias, Asher and Cecilia, great grandmother of Alex and Daniel, passed away on April 5, 2024.

Mortal remains will be brought to Our Lady of Miracles Church, Milagres, Mangalore, on Tuesday, April 9 at 3.15 pm for public viewing, followed by Mass at 4 pm.

Sorry for the loss of dear Louisa. Our sincere condolences to the Benny family. Last met Louisa and the late Kevin, when we visited the Benny residence in 2019. We were close to Louisa and Dr. Inas when growing up in the 60-70s. May Louisa Rest in Peace, and may the good Lord give you all, the strength to bear this huge loss.

We, Jean, Gwen, Karen, and Kiran, together with our families, are grateful to our friends, families and well-wishers who have condoled with us on the passing away of our beloved mother Louisa Maria Benny. It has been an unusually sorrowful time as we are grieving the very recent death of our dearly beloved brother Kevin. Mummy and Kevin are now united in death with our dearest father, Dr. I.J. Benny who passed away nearly 20 years ago. It is heartening to read many messages paying tribute to our mother’s unique persona and it fills us with great pride that she will be remembered for her graceful nature, generosity, poise and accomplishments even as she faced challenges to her health in the last few years. May God in his goodness bestow his grace and mercy on us as we carry on with an abundance of cherished memories.
