Prakash Ronald Joseph D'Cunha (57), son of the late Apoline and the late Elize D'Cunha, husband of Gracy D'Cunha, father of Primal and Chelsey, brother of Oswald, Sheela, Ancilla and Nirmala, passed away on Wednesday June 5, 2024.

Mortal remains will be brought to the residence for public viewing at Pais Manor, Flat no. 203, Urwa Store, near Ashoknagar Church, Mangalore from 11.00 am to 11.30 am on Sunday, June 9, and thereafter to St Joseph Church, Bajpe, at 1.00 pm for public viewing. Funeral Mass at 1.30 pm followed by burial.

He was such a big friend of mine, he used to call me every now and then from Abu Dhabi and talk at length. And also used to send Good Morning messages every day. In fact, the good morning message he sent the day he died was still not read until I heard about his demise the next day. Being originally from same parish I had a long, amiable association with him. We are profoundly saddened by the loss of my beloved sadoo, Prakash Bavoji. Words are inadequate to convey the depth of sorrow and grief that has settled in our hearts. I consider myself immensely fortunate to have spent precious time with him during our recent visit to Abu Dhabi in the month of May 2024. Those days were imbued with laughter, meaningful conversations, humor and the warmth of his generous spirit. The memories of our time together have now become cherished treasures, offering a semblance of comfort amidst this immense loss. I still fondly remember the delightful and sumptuous meals he prepared for us each day during our stay and how he would later generously share his recipes with me may it be the delectable Pork recipes or the exquisite limbyache lonche he prepared for us to take back home will always be cherished in our memories. His culinary skills were truly exceptional, but even more remarkable was his beautiful and loving heart. Looking back, I wish I had spent even more time with him. On June 2nd, only a few days before his passing, we shared heartfelt words on the occasion of his wedding anniversary. Our conversation was a testament to his enduring love and the joy he derived from celebrating life's precious moments. That exchange will forever be etched in my heart as a beautiful reminder of his vibrant and loving nature. Little did we foresee the tragedy that awaited us, and now we realize we will forever carry his absence in our hearts. His departure on June 5, 2024, has left an irreplaceable void in our lives. Prakash Baoji was a beacon of kindness, a source of unwavering support, and a person who touched the hearts of everyone privileged to know him. His spirit will always endure in our hearts, and his presence will be deeply missed. May he find eternal peace. He will always be remembered in our prayers. In the depths of sorrow we find solace in sharing our profound grief with all our family members.
