Dorothy and I are both saddened to know of the passing away of Alfie who I used to see/meet at numerous occasions on behalf of the "Mangalorean". Our heartfelt condolences to his bereaved family and also to dear Violet Pereira of the Mangalorean for whom he was their photographer and reporter. May his dear soul RIP. I was wondering why I have not seen him for quite sometime and so very sorry about his untimely demise. He had a very cheerful disposition and very friendly too.
I'm deeply saddened to hear about the passing of Mr. Alfie. His unique style of reporting, attention to detail, and the profound quotes he used to include in his articles made him a standout journalist. As an ardent fan of his work, I always looked forward to reading his articles, which were filled with depth and insight. Although I never had the chance to meet him often, the one time I did in Mangalore left a lasting impression on me. I admired his simplicity and genuine nature. His loss is truly a great one, and he will be dearly missed. Rest in peace, Alfie Sir.
Rest in Peace dear Alfie Sir. Jovial

It was a sad and shocking news to hear about the sad and untimely demise of Alfie my immediate neighbour in Souza lane, Kadri Pumpwelll until I left Mangalore. During the recent years I always used to meet him during many social functions with a camera in his hand and a great smile on his face. I always used to admire his writing skills and reports on many social and civic issues. We will miss you Dear Alfie and May your soul Rest in Eternal Peace...Lance

Uncle Alfred, Rest in peace. Wish we got to know you better. Till we meet again, adios !
Alfie, our dearest friend. So sad to know that we won't hear your jokes, read your thought provoking articles and spending time with you anymore. We never realise how suddenly people are taken away from us and then we regret not being in touch. Rest in peace my friend in Jesus arms where you will be safe forever. GONE TOO SOON, WE WILL REALLY MISS YOU. Rest in Peace.
RIP Alfie!! 😔 I had never met this gentleman, but I used to read with keen interest his journalism mostly revolving around public welfare and it's instantaneous positive effects published in another website! I salute his soul for whatever he has contributed in creating awareness about this so called Smart City! Forget even mentioning the news about his departure to the heavenly abode; It's indeed very sorrowful to note that his journalistic work was not appreciated in other Mangalore oriented platforms!!😔😔
May his soul Rest in Peace 🙏
Sweet Alfie was our neighbour and loved by us all . He was much like a little brother, running in and out of our home and compound. His passing at a mere 64 is very upsetting. May he rest in joyful peace - happy soul that he was. Our heartfelt condolences to Alfie's family, Jossie, Rudolph and their families.
Very shocking news indeed, may his departed soul rest in eternal peace .
Alfie was my senior in college. Unfailingly cheerful, friendly and pleasant, he was well liked and well known as a student, as well as in later life. He loved youngsters and wanted all of them to do well. He had an uncanny ability to write impactful news reports on matters of human and public interest. He was exceptionally fond of Mangalore, his home city, and always desired its all-round development. He will be missed.
May his soul rest in peace. Heartfelt condolences to the family members.
Dear joseph and violet Please accept my deepest condolences. May the departed soul rest in peace.

Rest in Peace Alfred.
Shocked to hear the sudden passing away of our dear Alfie who was a popular journalist and a sincere friend. He was one of the few friends who gave his unconditional support to XET & XITC. He was a man with rare qualities of head and heart. Though journalism might not have given him his daily bread but by his simplicity and rare talent, dearest Alfie stands tall among others. Our heartfelt condolences to his near & dear ones and especially Madam Violet and the staff of Mangalorean.com Praying Almighty to grant his soul eternal peace.
