John Baptist Fernandes (93), husband of the late Jeanette Pinto, father of Lynette, Sandra, Celia and Anita, father-in-law of Kevin, Nigel and Russell, grandfather of Shefali, Sonia, David, Samuel, Daniel and Kanishka, great grandfather of Amari, Aria and Sierra, brother of Patricia, Louisa, Agnes, Marcel, Dulcine, Daniel, Clemintine, Jeffrey and Lenny, passed away on Wednesday, July 24, 2024.

Funeral at 10:00 am on Friday, July 26 in Holy Name Cathedral Church, Colaba, Mumbai. Viewing at 9:30 am onwards. Burial at Haines Road Cemetery.

If you ever wanted a Father in Law better than Mr. John Fernandes - I would say - is almost impossible to find on this earth today and i was lucky to marry his daughter. And yet 20 years have gone by so quickly because we were enjoying every minute of so many moments in time! I must say he was my favourite " Father in Law" ! and I was not only the Favorite Son in Law but the most naughty one - you can imagine what that means - no words can compare! From Mischief to more serious crimes and being the most wanted- From Africa to the Middle East and Cambodia - I would say - I loved every minute of it! - the journey was worth every laughter and cry! - God has blessed us - with a wonderful man who has been a vital pillar in a family that has a high ethic and morals and yet came together at most difficult times. You must say - he is in paradise - but I must affirm the best of his life was on earth. So let his memory be with us forever - till we rest and let his soul be at peace. We are so blessed with memories of being alive - so let's celebrate Mr. John Fernandes !
