As we grieve the loss of our beloved Anita/Annette Mami, I can just remember her bright smile that just lit up the hearts of everyone around her. As my mom would always say she was truly a gem of a person, who had so much goodness in her heart and took so much care of everyone around her. She shared her love through cooking and pampered us with great dishes. Although her life on this earth has ended, her goodness will continue to spread through every life she has touched. She will always live in my memories of times spent with her through my childhood. Praying for her soul to rest in peace.

Zita was truly a remarkable person whose essence can be captured in the following words: Z - Zestful I - Inspiring T - Thoughtful A - Affectionate A - Amazing N - Nurturing N - Noble E - Empathetic T - Terrific T - Talented E - Exceptional When I think of Zita, her beautiful smile and warm, caring nature come to mind. She was always so thoughtful and hospitable. Whenever we spoke on the phone, she would eagerly ask when I would be visiting Abu Dhabi. The moment I landed, she greeted me with juice and water, making sure I was comfortable until we reached her home. And at her home, my favorite dishes were always ready, perfectly cooked with love. She never let me lift a finger—even after a meal, she would insist on washing my plate. I would tease her, saying, “You’re spoiling me! When I go back home, I’ll have to do everything myself.” Zita was the best cook I’ve ever known—her food surpassed even the finest restaurant fare. Every time I visited Abu Dhabi, she wouldn’t let me stay anywhere else, not even for a single night at my niece’s house. I was welcome to visit them, but she insisted I come back to sleep at her place. “Don’t eat there—come home and eat,” she would say. She treated me like her own sister, always prioritizing others' needs over her own. One of my most cherished memories is from her visits to Canada. We made countless trips together, creating many sweet memories. I’ll never forget the first time I tasted Pav Bhaji on one of our nectar-picking adventures. She had packed it so perfectly that it remained warm even after hours, and, as always, it was delicious. Zita was selfless, always putting others first. Our entire family is deeply saddened and devastated to hear about the untimely demise of our beloved Anita. We do know she had suffered immensely in the last several years and that God has taken her to be with Him and give her comfort and peace now. We pray for solace and peace for Sunny, Shrey and her entire family. We will always cherish the time we spent with her during the family's time in Canada and there are many memories of hearty laughter watching shows together like Modern Family or making fun of Sunny that we did often, or just general chats. She will be remembered as a talented cook, a deeply caring person who was always willing to do so much for others selflessly, and always so generous to all. She took great care of us in Canada when she would spend time with us, but also on our visits to Abu Dhabi, especailly when our family visited when Prayrna and Divya were much younger. She arranged everything for our stay, and Sunny always gave her credit for being such an organizer of people's visits as well as all the family parties she arranged. I remember fondly my 40th birthday party which she was instrumental in organizing games that everyone who attended enjoyed immensely. Anita, we are so sad that we had not seen you in so many years, but in one way we are happy that all we remember of you is the vibrant, smiling,laughing, kind, considerate person we always knew you as. We are though heartbroken that we will never see your smile again in person but it will live in our memories. With deep condolences, May Lord Jesus keep you by His side and give your soul peace.
