Fr Dr Lawrence C D’Souza (75) (Diocese of Udupi), son of the late Casmir and the late Regina D’Souza, brother of the late Baptist / Evelyn D’Souza, Joseph / Carmine Dsouza, Lazurus / Lira D’Souza, passed away on Tuesday November 12, 2024.

Requiem Mass for the departed soul will be held in “Milagres Home”, Retired Priests' Home, Kallianpur Santhekatte at 7.15 am, on Saturday November 16.

Mortal remains will be kept for public viewing and for final respects on Saturday November 16, from 8.00 am onwards in Mount Rosary Church, Santhekatte.

Funeral Mass will be held at 9.30 am, followed by burial at Mount Rosary Church, Santhekatte.

The loss of Father Lawry D'Souza has left a void in our hearts and in the community. He will be greatly missed. His profile speaks itself of his sterling personality. As Rector of Milagres Cathedral, he fevotedly and passionately stuck to his duties, but Covid lockdown wasa hindrance. Post COVID his incurable illness prevented him to carry on his duties, yet he never shied away meeting us Parishioners calmy. He always responded to me in Liturgical matters . His hospitality endeared to me. Father dear you offered your sufferings stoically to our Lord, who mow jolds you in His Arms. Rest in Peace.
