Dr Oliver Gladson Palanna (84), husband of Prema Sarojini Palanna, father of Sarita/ Santosh, Sudhir / Sahana, Sudeep / Deeksha, grandfather of Nihal, Nikita, Diya, Aditi, Abhi and Arnit, passed away in Bangalore on Thursday, August 7, 2025.
Funeral cortege leaves residence "Avanya," #3, Akshayanagar East, BDA Layout, Bangalore at 2:30 pm on Saturday, August 9, for burial at the Indian Christian Cemetery (Gate 1), Hosur Road, Bangalore at 3:30 p.m.

Dr Oliver retired as Professor and Head of the Department of Chemistry at St. Philomena College, Puttur, after serving for 33 years. He later served for a decade as Professor and Head of the Department of Chemistry at AMC Engineering College, East West College of Engineering, and RNS Institute of Technology, Bangalore.
