Stany D'Costa (85), husband of Joyce D'Costa, father of Priya / Olavo, Preethi / Asad, Preema / Aiden, Preena / Rohan, grandfather of Chriscia, Angela, Davion, Athena and Rose, passed away on Friday, August 15, 2025.

Mortal remains will be kept for viewing at the residence on Monday August 18. Funeral cortege leaves residence for Mount Rosary Church, Santhekatte on Monday, August 18 at 10.00 am, followed by Mass.

U acquaintances with Mr.Stany goes back to 1970 in which year I was at Final B .A. in Milagres College and Mr Stany was Manager of Vijaya Bank at Kallianpur above The then Jonathan Bakery n someone yold me he is a good singer. Mu brother had come down on a Holiday from Kuwait and had brought a Yape Recorder n we requested Mr Stany if he could sing Konkani songs snd he readily volunteered and he came to our house Batkur after jis duty hours and sang several songs of Wilfy Rebimbus Jerome n Henry D ' Souza.It was something new for our locality and when we played the recorder neighbours got enthrolled and Many memorised these songs
